What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of Japanese Energy Work. The prevailing theory is that it originated in Tibet and was brought to Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui sometime in the mid 1800's. The name Reiki is Japanese, and translates to "Universal Life Force Energy." This comes from two words: "Rei" which means universal, transcendental spirit, mysterious power and essence, and "Ki" which means vital life force energy.
With the top level of training in Reiki, a person is then called a Reiki Master. Students at the lower levels of training are allowed to take clients, and can offer a wonderful Reiki session based on their current skill level. This is something to consider when you are searching for a Reiki practitioner and encounter varying price points, as often a Reiki Master will of course charge a rate far above a student who is at the lowest level.

What Is Pet Reiki?
Pet Reiki is energy healing for pets and it uses the same technique that is used on human clients but with adaptations to accommodate the pet that is being worked on.
Why Should I Consider Pet Reiki For My Animal?
Reiki for animals can be used for specific issues like increasing energy in a lethargic pet, promote feelings of calm and relaxation in a hyper one or help a depressed pet cope with a loss in their life. Reiki is also extremely useful for helping aged or ill with pain management which in turns allows medication/s to work more effectively. Reiki is not magic. It can not cure something like Cancer in beloved pet, but it can make the time your pet has left much more comfortable and peaceful. It can also be used to target specific physical issues such as arthritis, digestive issues, food allergies and other medical conditions.
Are There “Ideal” Animals For Pet Reiki?
All animals are the idea client for Reiki. Very active animals that have a hard time staying still may take several sessions to become calmer but I have seen results with such animals in as little as one session. If an animal is very angry or aggressive in a dangerous manner, then Reiki would have to be done at a distance or have the animal restrained in order to ensure safety for all.
Does Reiki Work Better On Specific Animals?
Just like people it really depends on how receptive the animal is to the energy they are receiving. In humans, some people will still reject help no matter how much they say they want it. Animals can react the same way. Reiki will work but perhaps not as quickly as expected or desired. Reiki is not just limited to cats, dogs and other common domestic pets, a wide variety of creatures will accept Reiki energy.
What Animal Are Not Good To Work With?
For safety reasons working with a violent animal that is not restrained is not advised.
REVIEW OF IN HOME VISIT (DISCONTINUED SERVICE)
My male rabbit is generally a very nervous and scared little creature.
He has seen positive results from his Pet Reiki session with Jade.
At first I was more nervous than my rabbit!
Jade was able to tell me things about my rabbit that I don't think I would have figured out on my own.
Jade was very relaxed and calm when handling my rabbit and he showed a drastic change in his energy. He became calm and at peace after being with her, and she told me things that I could do to improve his
comfort and it worked!!!
I now have a very calm and loving rabbit.
I recommend this service to anyone who would like to enrich their relationship with their furry companion.
Thank you Jade from me and my bunny Lenny.
